Meet Dr. Sarah McVey

Dr. Sarah McVey moved to Collingwood in 2022 with her husband, Jamie, to establish Peaks Family Dentistry Collingwood. Originally from the small community of Deep River in northeastern Ontario, Dr. Sarah has always valued strong connections and personalized care. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Dalhousie University in Halifax before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Western University in London, Ontario.
Over the years, Dr. Sarah has provided care for patients across a wide range of ages and needs. This experience has given her valuable expertise in children’s dentistry, emergency dentistry, preventative care, restorative dentistry, and general family dental treatments. She believes in ongoing learning and professional development, which allows her and her team to provide the best possible dental care for every patient who walks through the doors of Peaks Family Dentistry Collingwood.
Before pursuing dentistry, Dr. Sarah was a dedicated athlete, playing varsity hockey for Dalhousie University for five years. Her commitment to teamwork and perseverance on the ice carries over to the way she leads her practice today. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, snowboarding, cycling, golfing, and continuing to play hockey recreationally. Now happily settled in Collingwood, Dr. Sarah is honoured to offer comprehensive dental care to her community and looks forward to meeting new patients and families.

As part of your first visit, we’ll create your patient record in our system and enter all relevant details. If you have dental insurance, our administrative team will verify your coverage and do their best to provide you with accurate estimates for recommended treatments. For those transferring from another dental office, we’ll request your previous dental records so that we can build a clear and thorough picture of your oral health history.
At the conclusion of your appointment, we’ll help you check out and arrange your next visit. Every new patient also receives a take-home hygiene bag containing helpful oral care items, as well as a reminder card for your upcoming appointment.
